We have some great football to watch. We also have game nights and movie nights. All great opportunities for gatherings of family and friends. And all call for snacks. Here are a couple of our family favorites.
I need your help. With the Super Bowl coming, I wanted to have a couple of recipes that aren’t a wing recipe or a spinach dip. Both are great, but we need to try something new in addition to our past favorites. Thank you in advance. Have a great week!
In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, oregano, parsley, and basil. Spread mixture in the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate, or a shallow microwave-safe dish. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese on top of the cream cheese mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion, mayonnaise, crabmeat, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread mixture into a 1-quart baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. While the dip is baking, cut a circle in the top of the bread, and scoop out the inside to create a bread bowl. Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping. Remove baked crab dip from the oven, and stir well. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out loaf. Place the bread bowl and chunks of bread on a medium baking sheet, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot.
